406072_10151613577408835_2055401976_n Yesterday, we lost a member of our family and continue to mourn the loss of a father, husband, friend and a man who was a shining example of what it means to be a public servant. The loss of Lt. Charles Joseph Gliniewicz has left a large void in our community; a void that can never be filled. The Fox Lake Community has come together as one and we lean on each other during this difficult time. Our hearts are very heavy today as we hold close to us the memories of what an amazing person “G.I. Joe” was. We, as a community, will never forget.

At 6:00 p.m tonight, Wednesday, September 2nd, there will be a vigil to honor the life of Lt. Gliniewicz.  The vigil will take place at Lakefront Park, 71 Nippersink Blvd. and will be open to the public.

Parking information for tonight's vigil is outlined by clicking here; however, it is recommended that attendees walk to Lakefront Park.  There is NO parking at Lakefront Park.
